Lent 2017 – Day Thirty-Four
Serving is at the heart of the Christian walk with God. Jesus came not to be served but to serve. Throughout His life and His ministry, Jesus served people and mankind. He could easily have said that He was the Son of God and therefore He should be served. But no, Jesus served everyone including His disciples, and He taught them to serve others. Serving also means giving your life as a ransom for others – you are willing to give up everything to serve others.
Let us look to serve others and not to be served.
