Lent 2017 – Day Thirty-Six
This is one of the prophecies about the coming of the Messiah. The Scriptures say that Jesus was wounded for our transgressions and bruised for our iniquities. As the soldiers beat Him up and whipped Him, the prophecy was fulfilled and His wounds became the source of our healing. Because Jesus suffered and was wounded, we do not have to suffer, if only we believe. When we fall sick or feel unwell, we can look to this scripture and the fulfilling of it, and declare our healing.
By His stripes, we are healed.
