Lent 2017 – Day Five

Our praise to God must be with an upright heart. We cannot praise God with a heart that is filled with sin and unrighteousness. God hears the cry of the righteous and answers them when they call on Him. Thus, when you praise God, you must do so with a righteous heart. The Psalmist tells us that we have an upright heart when we learn the righteous rules of the Lord. This means that we must learn the rules of the Lord and apply those rules to our lives. The rules of the Lord are righteous because they renew our minds and cleanse our hearts of all unrighteousness. When we have the word of God in our hearts then we are in a position to praise our Father in Heaven. Keep praising God with a righteous heart.
